Pottery Workshops:
Have you been inspired by a local exhibition, Artist or Great Pottery Throw Down? This is the place for you! Regardless of experience or ability. I am offering a warm and supportive environment for beginners to experience either a single, one off workshop or four week course.
Workshops are available as a three hour session on:
Thursday, AM - 10am - 1pm or 6pm - 9pm.
Friday, AM and PM - 10am - 1pm or 6pm - 9pm. Saturday Mornings and Evenings- 10am - 1pm or 6pm - 9pm

Pottery Wheel Throwing Workshops for Beginners and Introduction to Handbuilding Workshop:
Come and experience a warm welcome in my Brighton based studio! Where you'll be greeted with a cup of tea or coffee and be introduced to myself and my studio, which will feel like home by the end of the session. The two classes available are:
3hr x Introduction to the Pottery Wheel and Throwing Class to create your own set of bowls.
3hr x Hand building Class where you will experience and choose between a range of techniques to produce: mugs, bowls, hanging decorations, ornaments, tiles etc.
The Throwing and Hand Building Classes we offer, are three hours long and you be given an introduction of the tools alongside the techniques you'll be using during the session. For those who book onto the Pottery Wheel Class a full demonstrate on how to use the wheel will be provided. After the demonstration, it's your turn! With Bex's guidance, you'll take turns using the hand building tools or wheels provided to create your own unique range of bowls, mugs etc!
You can book yourself into a workshop either individually, as a couple or as a group booking. Please select the class you wish to book from the two buttons below. Four Week Pottery Course:
Join me, Bex, for this exciting four-week pottery course in Brighton and learn the in-depth art of pottery wheel throwing. You'll receive a warm welcome in my studio, where this in-depth course builds on the beginners class and gives you the time to explore what goes on behind the scenes in a pottery studio. As the course progresses, you will use high-quality materials and learn a range of traditional techniques, such as:
Mastering how to use a throwing wheel and with the stages of the throwing technique.
Turning your thrown pieces.
An introduction to glazing and the theory of mixing a glaze.
Waxing and Dip Glazing your bisque fired pieces.
Finally, packing a kiln.
Don't worry if you're new to pottery; in your first two weeks, I will give you a full demonstration of how to use the wheel and the basic techniques needed to create your very own bowl. After the demonstration, it's your turn! With my guidance, you'll take turns on the wheel. As your confidence builds, you can go on to create your own mug or candle holder to match.
This Four Week Course Costs: £200, which includes: 4 x 3hr Pottery Workshops, covering the range of techniques listed above and also includes the material and firing costs for the work created during the course! To book please use the button below!

Couples and Group Workshops:
For Couples Requiring, 1 x Hand building Workshop - costs £90 per pair.
For Groups Requiring, 1 x Hand building Workshop - costs £120 per group.
For Couples Requiring, 1 x Pottery Throwing Workshop - £120.00 per pair.
For Groups Requiring, 1 x Pottery Throwing Workshop - £160.00 per group.

I currently hold weekly classes on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays, with plenty of availability between now - the end of the year and into the new year. If you wish to discuss further availability of specific dates, you can email: bex@bexscrivins.com.
How To Book:
It's more straight forward then you may think!, simply book via ClassBento using the button links above or send an email expressing the date you wish to book, if its a private or group workshop, weather its a special occasion, single session or four week course. Alongside any special requirements you may need e.g. access arrangements.

Whatever the occasion, no matter how big your project is! I offer a Kiln Hire service and if this something you wish to pursue my 45LKiln, props and shelves will be at your disposal. As well as include a full packing service and all electric prices, at no additional cost!
For a full kiln pack - fired to bisque temp (1000c), £25.00.
For a full kiln pack - fired to Glaze Temp, Earthenware and Stoneware both possible! (1065/1250c), £35.00.
